About: Toasterboy Media Empire
The exhilarating history of the Toasterboy Media Empire begins way back in 2004 with Sean Cairns’ first attempt at a webcomic, an awful little strip called SIDO, about an intergalactic DJ and his battles against the evil of Corporate Music. A certified failure, SIDO died after just 4 comics.
In 2006, Sean started a new comic, this time about a group of friends and the thrilling adventures he wished he could have in real life. Realizing this was a fairly poor premise for an on-going story, he also included the character of Stinky, the pot-bellied elephant. After 7 comics, the first incarnation of The Adventures of Toasterboy quietly faded away for about four months, at which point it was re-launched and stuck to a fairly regular updating schedule during the summer of 2007.
During the fall of that year, Sean hired graphic designer Jess Cwik as Illustrator Extraordinaire to perform the difficult job of drawing the bizarre stories in his head. Since then, with the exception of a black-out due to a server error, TAOT has been providing the internet world with a fun, quality webcomic.
In the early spring of 2008, Sean began a side-project to TAOT entitled Twisted Toasterboy Theatre, which is a more mature one-panel comic aimed to delve into another side of Sean’s humor. Updating twice a week, it is quickly becoming popular with the college-aged demographic, one of Sean’s favorites.

About: Jess Cwik
Jess Cwik is a Freshman Graphic Design major at Bradley University. She had previously attended high school with a pair of Sean’s friends there at Bradley, and through them she came into contact with Sean. After seeing some of her artwork, Sean hired her as Illustrator Extraordinaire for the Adventures of Toasterboy! Jess currently resides with her Companion Cube at her dorm room in Peoria, IL.
Jess has a very messy dorm room, due to the fact that she has a pet pot-bellied pig named Herbert that lives in the hole in the wall between her room and her neighbor. Herbert enjoys ice cream with sprinkles, while Jess prefers no sprinkles. This leads to a lot of fights, but yet they remain the best of friends. Jess is a kind soul like that sometimes. Regardless, Herbert doesn't clean up after himself, mostly due to a lack of opposable thumbs, something which he never lets Jess forget, ususally by asking her to hold things for him! Herbert is three this July.
Jess promises to add more here later… or else: thirty lashings!
